    I recently switched from reCAPTCHA v2 to v3 and it screwed up the site login. I tried and failed to delete all the code the WordPress site was using to call the script. So I then deleted both of my reCAPTCHA site and secret keys from Google. Still did not help so we used a backup of the site but now since the Google reCAPTCHA keys are gone, it does not work. I need to see how to manually use either PhPMyAdmin or Cpanel to replace the old site key info with the new ones. I’m not great with either of those tools just moderately good. Help?

    Hi,

    Please verify that the keys are correct here – https://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin#list. If keys are correct, but the problem still remains, please try to generate new keys and enter them on the plugin settings page.

    After this try to follow the next instructions in order to test reCaptcha’s keys:
    1) Go to reCaptcha Settings page;
    2) Click “Test reCaptcha”;
    3) Test your reCaptcha;
    4) Then сlick “Test Verification”;

    Let us know about the result.

    Also, it’s necessary to check reCAPTCHA version because if you switched between Version 2 and Version 3, you should regenerate new keys.

    The issues I was having in trying to change my reCAPTCHA settings or turn the plugin off was an easy fix. I did not know that my customer had given me an old Cpanel link and the site I was fixing was not the lives site but an old archive! Once I got the right link all worked out. Thanks for the help, all!
