Need to replace old broken installation

GoDaddy moved my ancient WP installation to a new server (with same URLs) and it is not working (403 error, no default html files). I’d like to start over with a brand new up to date WP installation, but recover the few blog pages that the old one contained.
What are the possible ways to do that? Is there a best way?

Thanks, that is helpful. However it assumes you can lo in to the old installion, which I cannot — the login php script seems to be missing.
Moreover the WP database also seems to be missing.
So all I really have is the WP_content directory.
Can I restore the blog pages from just that?
