• I am designing a site and I really like this theme! Unfortunately, whether I delete the pre-header menu or not, I still have a page menu showing up below my header. (It appears to be in an order from a previous theme.) I did NO programming on the previous theme, but for some reason I can’t get rid of it even if I delete ALL menus. Anyone else have that problem? Thanks!

Hi, thanks for getting back to me. I’m new to website design and don’t know much about CSS – trying to stick to the basics before creating a child theme and fiddling around with css.
I’m not sure how to attach screenshots to the forum and I haven’t gone live yet – still working on my local host.
I like the pre-header menu location 1)because of the black background and big statement it makes at the top 2) because I want a search field and haven’t yet figured out how to place a search field where I want it and only using the themes location – but it looks funny where it is without the menu.
So since posting this, I sort of figured out a “fix-it myself” solution – i created another menu (using my categories) and placed that in the theme pre-header location with the search field.
I’m however not sure if my husband whom I creating the site is going to like this extra menu and the header image I placed – still playing around with options to show him ?
Is it possible to only use the pre-header? when I select only the pre-header location for my main menu it makes my pages appear in the primary header location – this is what I don’t want to happen if I decide to only use the pre-header. Can you assist? is there a way or must I use both menu locations?
If I don’t use the pre-header – but want a search field… how can I place a search field on my website anywhere I want it without using the theme option/location?
Also… (sorry I’m really new at this) – if I use a header image, how do I centre the image?
