We need to limit sync only for bundle product only.
Currently We are seeing all products on MailChimp account. We want only bundle products on MailChimp products section.

@alokchetaru unfortunately that’s not going to work because in order to submit an order to Mailchimp, the products need to exist on their end. The “bundles” are just an organizational tool you would be using to create a product that has a bunch of “other items” from your store correct?

Or are you saying that this bundle is a specific product and when someone purchases the bundle, that’s the ONLY thing you see on the woocommerce order details?

We just want a restriction for any specific product type ( simple, grouped, variable ). Is there any option where we can stop sync for any product type. Like : We want to exclude grouped products from sync.

    Thanks

@alokchetaru sorry this is still in the same status on our end because we’re still unclear of why this would need to be done. Can you please explain the limitations, or the shortcomings in better detail so we understand what’s trying to be resolved?

We understand your comment specifically, but we need to know more in order to properly handle this as a filter, or as something that might need to be passed along to Mailchimp’s API team. There’s a difference is all we’re saying and we would like to get to the bottom of it the correct way.

Thanks so much and sorry for the delay – due to the holidays of course ??

We have a site that sells windsceen wipers for vehicles. The products on the site are bundled products and only the parent bundles are customer facing. The products that make up the bundles are the individual wipers which are used for inventory management so the customer shouldn’t see these.

Using Mailchimp for Abandon Cart emails, we have found that the indivisual products (not customer facing) are syncing with Mailchimp and are populating on the emails instead of the parent bundle products. This is why we want to block these from syncing.
We are happy to come up with a different solution to this but looking for your input. Alternatively do you allow us to input API XML or CSV product information, if so we can use this and submit required product data.

You can see the website at wipersdirect.com.au and for an example the parent product “BMW X5 2004-2006 Four Wheel Drive – Front Wiper Kit” is made up of 1x HY-101-15 and 1x HY-101-24 individual products which we do not show the customer. So when they buy the kit, the stock of the individual wipers are reduced but as far as the customer is concerned, they are buying “BMW X5 2004-2006 Four Wheel Drive – Front Wiper Kit”, therefore we only want to include the bundled parent product in the abandon cart and post purchase emails.

if you have any api system where we can upload xml or csv for required products with your information. So we can provide you sheet.

Thank you for your time and sorry for not better explaining the issues we are experiencing!

@alokchetaru so we’ve not been able to figure out how to do this yet for the masses. I just wanted to touch base with you to give you an option that might work out.

We have a wiki article here that shows you how to “customize the order” right before submission.

I wonder if this would be good enough to detect what products are in there, and then reformat the order details in a manner that fits your needs. Can you please take a look at this and see if that would be a solution? We’ll be glad to troubleshoot more with you – but wanted to give this as a quick solution if you felt comfortable doing something a little custom.
