need to limit checkbox selections

Hello.
I have created a form on my website, within which we offer a selection of book titles (more than 80 titles) from which the visitor is invited to select only five.
My problem is I need to actually limit the checkboxes to allow the visitor to select only five. As it is now, anyone can select as many as they wish…even if they select all titles…there is no limit on their selections.
What I need is some sort of code (with instructions on where I need to place this code) which will limit the amount of selections of the checkboxes anyone can select to no more than five(5).
