• I foolishly played around with a blog promotion code and inadvertently put it in front of page type and all other code — making it impossible to enter via wp-admin address.

click on the site quickly , look at blog promotion line in line1, column 1 then click on wp-admin address of dontdiecrying.com

I just need to know which file I go into on my control panel to delete it, and then do I upload that file? eg how do I effect the deletion (must I go into history the day before I did this? hope not…)

  • Try looking for <a href="https://www.freeblogpromotion.com">Free Blog Promotion - Blog and Blog resource Directory</a> at the very top of header.php and removing it. If it’s not in that file, then we really need some indication of what file(s) you were editing when you made this change.

pretty sure this was already answered in one of your other threads….

What file did you put that line of code into???? That’s the one you need to edit.

    Probably header.php

so you’re gonna need to get to WP directory->wp-content->themes->your theme->header.php

delete that file, and upload a new header.php from a fresh copy of the theme
