    hi i want ask updraft regarding this

    I have 10 websites on a server now that server is infected with virus my first question is are my backups also infected?

    also can i take the old backup and restore that on a new server with same domain name? if yes how can i do that?

    Hi,

    It depends on how your website is hacked. UpdraftPlus simply backups all the files within the “wp-content” folder so if the injected files is not within those files/folders then you can restore your site from scratch. Check the restoration guide here.

    If you can find out when your site was hacked then you can attempt to restore an older backup and work your way from there.

    hi

    so what i did is

    on a new server i purchased a new domain and pointed that domain to my new server

    i installed a fresh wordpress on thatserver
    installed the updraft plugin
    and restored a old backup of any other site
    now my website is been redirected automatically

    how can i solve this?

    Hi,

    You will need UpdraftPlus migrator add-on if you are using a new URL. The free version only works if you are using it on the same URL.

    After purchasing the add-on, you can restore everything from scratch. We have a step-by-step guide here.

    Alternatively, you can use this tool if you would like to do it on your own.
