Need to keep html in excerpt and change the "read more" text style.

    I’m really new with wordpress and have no knowledge about the code. That’s why I need help here.

    Please let me give you my details first:
    wordpress version: 3.4.2
    theme: AdStyle, author: Gordon French, (provided on wordpress dashboard).

    I try not to use too many plugin and the suggestion says I should adjust on the code instead of too many plugin on my site.

    What I need:
    – I need to keep html tag in my excerpt, at least the tag for paragraph.

    – I need to remove “[…” from the end of my excerpt and move my Thai language read more text (???????….) to the end of my excerpt (now this is under the excerpt). My site is https://www.buddhabucha.net

    Some help from someone would be a big help to me.

    Can you please review the theme AdStyle (author: Gordon French, from wordpress theme choice) and suggest me what code to add to what file and the location to add the code.

  • Hi, using plugins is ok, as many as you need. If you have an issue that could be fixed with a plugin go ahead and install that plugin you don’t have to make code changes if you are a blogger.
    If you haven’t found a plugin that can achieve your requirements then you have to develop the functionality yourself.
    Check this and this plugins. They might do the trick for you, if not just let us know and someone will help you.

    I prefer to modify the code as I’ve tried to use these plugin and they don’t work with my theme.

    Can anybody help me on this?
