Being that there is no other downloadable versions of WP, past version 2.0.1 on the “archives” page. I’m starting to think maybe someone could round up versions from 2.0.1.. up to 2.0.5 maybe, and add the downloadable links to the Codex..?

Just was throwing this suggestion out, what ya’ll think?

I’ve got versions 2.0.3 and 2.0.4 on my computer, I can send them to Matt to upload to the static site if he wants.

Well, I have every distro since 1.5 (the originally labeled “strayhorn” version). Anyone needs something, let me know at vkaryl_at_bytehaven_dot_com.

It was brought up on a list a while ago.. but, it kind of went under the rug.. I guess? =/ I’ll have to find the post on it again.. now, which list was it…? lol.. haha. =P

Also, if you know how to use SVN, every release is archived at https://svn.automattic.com/wordpress/tags/

Most “casual users” don’t know or want to know SVN. I’m NOT a casual user, and I don’t want to mess with it.

Thanks for posting that too JeremyVisser, that’s what I usually do.. =) Download TortoiseSVN-1.4.1.7992-win32-svn-1.4.2.msi the one for your PC, 32 bit, or 64 bit.. (of the latest release)

Then once installed on the computer, I make a folder called: “WordPress 2.0.4”. Right click on it, then scroll to TortoiseSVN.. then choose EXPORT. It will then open a new little window..

Then, for the EXPORT URL put:
https://svn.automattic.com/wordpress/tags/2.0.4/

Click OK.. then it should start downloading the files from the https://svn.automattic.com/wordpress/tags/2.0.4/

Into the “WordPress 2.0.4” folder..

damn, hit refresh and there are an abundance of answers, thanks guys. i really wasnt looking to install svn just to get this. but if that was the only option.
