Need to display the featured image from it’s source

Hi!

Last time I checked, it did work with the Newspaper theme… but I don’t recall the version exactly. Just give it a try and see if it works and if the images look properly. External featured images don’t always work, because themes depend deeply on the thumbnails WordPress generates.

How do I set it to “Don’t save the featured image to my server instead to display the featured image from it’s source? I don’t see a setting anywhere to set it to not save the featured image to my server instead link to the source of the image.

External Featured Images
Featured Image Meta Box – Replace WordPress’ featured image meta box with Nelio’s.

There are 3 Modes (I choose Double-Quote Mode because your help notes state “Compatible themes include Newspaper”)
Default Mode
Double-Quote Mode
Simple-Quote Mode

Autoset Featured Image has 4 options ( I choose Use First Image in Post)
Disabled
Use First Image in Post
Use Any Image in Post
Use Last Image in Post

When setting a featured image, you just need to use either Nelio’s Featured Image meta box or, if you enabled the option to replace WordPress’ featured image meta box with Nelio’s, then make sure you set the featured image using the External button (instead of the Media button).

Once you set an external featured image in one of your posts, just try the three options our plugin has to render an external featured image (Default Mode, Double-Quote Mode, and Simple-Quote Mode) and see if one of them works for you.

If none of them can render the featured image, then I’m afraid it’s not compatible.

The plugin is not compatible with Newspaper 9.1 and foward .
The problem is with the Theme composer. They dont show the image on blocks as thumbs.
