I have an archive presented on my page <as seen in the posted link>; I want to display the Yoast SEO META Description instead of the excerpt. Does anyone have a code example of doing this specific task? Yoast changed the method of doing this; they now use a “presenter” class? I can’t find enough info to make it work just yet.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello Skid,

Thanks for reaching out regarding your meta description.

If I understand correctly, you will like to set a meta description for your post archive page. If yes, are you using ‘Your latest posts’ or ‘A static page’ in WordPress > Settings > Readings > Your homepage displays?

No, I want to display the existing META Description in the archive posts. Or anywhere I want, I need to code that displays the META Description. I’m creating a shortcode.

    Hi,

We aren’t familiar with how you’d like to modify the meta description output, however, you can refer to our Metadata API if you would like to extend or modify the default output from our plugin – https://developer.yoast.com/customization/apis/metadata-api
