Need to create double-hyphen —

Hi,

I’m using a Romanization scheme for a language that needs to show a double hyphen like this “–lah”. However, the WordPress editor always converts it to an em-dash or en-dash depending on the spacing. Is there a way to keep the editor from auto-converting to an em-dash or en-dash? Or, is there a way I can force the double-hyphen?
