Like some others have asked, I need to send the job listing notification email to someone who is not the site administrator. I am the site administrator and the person managing jobs is not. I’ve looked for a snippet and even tried to create my own, but with no luck yet.

Has anyone found if this is possible? Most plugins offer a simple field on their settings screen to allow you to set the notification recipient. This is a great plugin, but this seems like a grievous oversight to miss this simple thing.

    Hello @shedonist,

We don’t have this feature implemented yet, but we have an open feature request for our developers to consider:

    https://github.com/Automattic/WP-Job-Manager/issues/1530

I have also added this thread to flag your interest in seeing this feature deployed soon.

In the meantime, I recommend checking this third-party plugin which may help you with that:

    https://plugins.smyl.es/wp-job-manager-emails/

    Hope that answers your question!

I need this feature too. I am the site admin, but a different person manages the job listings and is not receiving the notifications. We use WP Mail SMTP as our mailer.

    Hi @reneyoung

Thanks for experiencing your interest in that feature; I’ve added your interest as well to the feature request.

Please start a new thread if you need help with anything else.

Thanks. I am using that plugin for now and it does solve the issue.

    Hi there,

    Glad to hear that!

I’m marking this topic as resolved now. But If you have any further questions or need some more help, you’re welcome to reply here or open another thread.

I visited the website for the WP Job Manager Emails plugin suggested above, but I do not see anything that indicates you can use it to designate other recipients for notifications besides the WordPress admin for the website. I submitted an inquiry but received no reply. It also looks like it has been a couple of years since there were any updates on the site. I must therefore conclude it is not the answer I’m looking for. The ability to choose which users receive WP Job Manager notifications seems to be a very basic feature that should be present in the plugin. And because that type of feature is available in a number of other plugins I use, I would think it should not be terribly difficult to add. Please pass this comment along to the developers.

@arppublisher – I can verify that you can set specific recipients for the emails. That is what I am using the plugin for and it works great for that.

Also, it was last updated in Jan 2022, so not too long ago (Plugin Changelog)

    @shedonist, thanks for the info.

@shedionist, may I ask what version you use? We have the Job Manager installed on one site only, so I think we’d only need the basic individual license. It looks like the only difference in the Individual Premium is that it can be used on two sites. Thanks.

I got the Individual Basic license for 1 site for $39. The Premium does give you an extra site and some extra support it seems (basic still includes standard support though).

    Excellent, thanks.

    Hey there,

WP Job Manager Emails is a third-party plugin, but as @shedonist said, you can try it to achieve that. If you get any issues, you can reach out to their support from here.

I’m marking this topic as resolved now. But If you have any further questions or need some more help, you’re welcome to reply here or open another thread. ??
