Need to change calendar format for post

I’ve been working with Designer-relief and the calendar format is ex: Mar 10 23. But I want it to be more US centric like March 25 2010
I played around for hours and even tried to cut/past from Suffusion but obviously not correctly.
Any help if very much appreciated.
