    Hi there!

How do I change the email account that is the administrator for Site Kit access? I tried to disconnect the account and then connect a new account but got an error message saying that I wasn’t the administrator of the account.

    Thanks!

Just to follow up, this is one of the error messages:

    “Insufficient permissions in Analytics
Your Google account does not have sufficient permissions for this Analytics account, so you won’t be able to see stats from it on the Site Kit dashboard. This service was originally connected by an administrator — you can contact them for more information.”

Even though is lists the new account as an Owner.

Thanks for reaching out. Can you share the following information and we can hopefully assist:

    1. Was there another WordPress administrator user you know of who setup Site Kit previously?
    2. Did you use the same Google account when connecting the other Google services from your own WordPress administrator account?
    3. Can you share your Site Health information? You can share privately using this form

Note that rather than changing WordPress administrator accounts associated with Site Kit you can request access to that Analytics property if you know the owner of this Analytics property.

Basically, there’s User 1 and User 2. User 1 originally set up Site Kit and originally set up Analytics as well. I would like to change the Owner of everything to User 2, both Site Kit and Analytics.

Both accounts are called Owner accounts by Google.

For question 2, I don’t exactly know what you mean. I logged out of User 1 and logged into User 2 in Site Kit.

I have submitted the site health info as requested.

Thanks for sharing an update. If you have control over both administrator user accounts and therefore Google accounts you could login with user 1 and then disconnect the Analytics module, before then disconnecting this account from Site Kit.

Resetting the plugin is also an option but bear in mind all users will be disconnected, and modules must once again be connected.

Let me know if you have any further questions on this.

Hello, I am having the same issue. How do I change the email account that is the administrator for Site Kit access? The person that installed the plugin used my personal email account not my business account. Now everytime I am going to see tha Analytics I need to open it with my personal email.

    I will appreciate your help.

    Hi @javiercastano,

If you’d like to open a new support topic we’d be happy to assist with your support request individually. You can also check with the other administrator who manages the associated Analytics property and request they provide access to your connected Site Kit account – via your business Google account.

@northern121212 As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues.
