I’ve searched everywhere online and can’t seem to find this same issue.

I have buy now buttons that use the WooCommerce ?add-to-cart=[id] links.

I want them to send me to the cart immediately upon clicking, which I enabled in the WC options. However, the first time I click the button, the cart is empty. When I go back and click it again, it works. This applies to any new session on the site (if I open an incognito tab it again requires two clicks to add to cart).

This problem does not occur when I turn off the cart redirect. The product is added to the cart like it should be. But then the customer has to see the tiny cart button and realize they need to click there. Which is not ideal at all.

I’ve tried disabling all plugins except for WC to see if they are causing it, and that didn’t work.

    Please help!

For future people searching: I was unable to fix this in the way that I expected. What I did was change my add to cart links to link directly to the /checkout page. The previous way I was sending them there was with a PHP filter that changed the WooCommerce default behavior.
