I am looking for a plugin, or set of plugins, that will allow a user to upload a photo then resize a photo to allow a picture (seal for the organization) to be added to the bottom of a letter-size page and allow the user to print out the picture (formatted for letter size).

For security and privacy, the uploaded image should not be kept by my website.

    TL/DR:
    plugin(s) that will:
    1. Temporarily upload a photo from a visitor
    2. Add a seal (image element) below the uploaded photo
    3. Visitor prints generated image formatted for Letter Size paper
    4. Uploaded file erased, no copy kept

This could be done by a lot of form plugins, but you’d probably need to custom code the generation of a PDF with an image, then the cleanup after the user downloads it (or some time expires).

Why would someone do this via your site rather than just using a word processor?

The reason is that many of our clients lack the ability, equipment or skills to do this themselves.

The ultimate use for this is for notary service referred to as “copy certification by document custodian”. States that do not allow copy certification or certification of vital documents by notaries public have the option to use this particular method when needed.

The client would upload their birth certificate, for example, and the proper notary certificate (wording) would be added to the bottom of the page with the uploaded image resized to fit the page and not obscure the notary certificate. The client would print it out or save as a PDF then come in to our office to have the notarization completed and notary stamp placed.

Our clients come from various backgrounds and nationalities along with different primary languages. We spend sometimes 20 minutes or more explaining that we cannot just “stamp” a vital document (as some countries allow), but we can notarize by document custodian. Add to that trying to explain to a non-native English speaker how to attach the appropriate wording to a document and it can become a communication nightmare.

It would be much easier to tell them to upload their document either scanned or photo from their phone to my site then print it out formatted with the proper notary certificate printed on it than to go through the same “how or why”. ??

You’ll have to custom code all these things. I don’t think there is any plugin that will fulfil all your needs at once.

I’m thinking that a client portal plugin might be a good idea, too, to keep things very separate.
