Need suggestion for e-store (digital content)

  • Hello,
    I had an opencart store with spices. Aside form that we also sold a cookbook there.

    I closed the spices business but would still liek to offer the cookbook e-book via wordpress. I saw a couple of plugins are available to do that (via paypal payments). However in opencart i had i believe fpdf where each one buying the book would get a short personalised enscription in it. It’s was a kind of soft form of DRM and at the same time it personalised the purchase – each PDF book would say in the footer who bought it and when.

    Could anyone point me into the direction which i should explore? Maybe someone is already using a plugin that offers what i am looking for. Or do i need to cobble up something on my own?

  • Check out the Easy Digital Downloads plugin (free) with the PDF Stamper add-on (not free). I’ve used Easy Digital Downloads and it’s good. I haven’t used the PDF Stamper add-on.

    Thank you for the suggestion. I tested it and for some reason payment over paypal testing account gave me a pending payment. otherwise it seem to be easy to configure and setup.
    in any case i also checked their PDF stamp addon. do you maybe know if they use fpdf for it? the addon has way more features than i would need.

    Sorry I don’t know what powers the PDF Stamper.
