need some help with sticky posts

  • hi all,
    on my site https://www.anunturi1.ro i use wordpress with classipress theme.
    it is a classified site. i have normal ads and featured ads. the featured ads are automatically made sticky. but.
    on first page the sticky post sticks on first position and on category the post don’t stick.(i want to be reverse on the first page the post should be featured but don’t stick and on category to stick.)
    also on the first page i want to order the post by date. the sticky ones do not order. i mean curently i have 2 featured ads and the first on page was poster before the second..
    excuse my english but i hope someone will understand me and help me.

  • The built in stickies only work on the home page, not on category pages.

    One thing you could do is have a “featured” category, and have two loops on your category page – the featured posts displayed by the first loop, the other posts by the 2nd loop.
