Need some help with Shipping Classes

First of thank you for a great plug in. I have the pro version and everything is working great. My shop is has a bunch of products that are food and related to the brand of this food (shirts,dry goods,etc). So for some locations in the US i have it set up that if somebody orders some of the food it is required to have 2 day shipping with UPS whether they have dry goods or not. However I would like to have cheaper UPS rates for someone who just orders one of the dry good products that doesn’t need two day shipping? Is this something easily done with shipping classes? Thank you.
