Searching with surrounding “” does not work, returns nothing and changes the search field value to \ and adds some of the special characters it does not replace with characters outside of the search form field. it’s quite odd.
I need to find for example: <div id=”inner”>
but cannot. I have tried wrapping in single, or double quotes to no avail. There’s no FAQ or docs out there that speak to any limitations or usage guidance outside of the resulting code views when you find a match.

This has indeed saved me a bunch of time, but has taken a ton of time to navigate around this seeming limitation as well. Any help would be very much so appreciated.

    Hi,

That’s certainly an unintended limitation that I’d not thought of, I’ll be sorting that out with the next release.

Thank you for the heads up on this!

Just wanted to let you know that 1.8 just went out the door here and it includes, among other things, a fix for searching with quotes.

You’re a winner man. Thanks a ton. This tool just became ridonkulously helpful. Seriously a key underpinning of taking over someone else’s development handiwork, but also debugging and enhancing your own. Thanks so much for thinking of and actually making this tool.
