Need Real Media Library Folder Manager

    Good day all. All of the Media Library folder options I have seen are merely taxonomy-based, and do not allow the creation, organization, and browsing of folders under /uploads.

    Instead of having everything placed in folders such as %year%/%month%, or in the root of /uploads (since I don’t want to have performance or backup issues later with 100k+ images), it must use a folder path that is able to be determined and controlled.

    There were others but they did not seem worth mentioning.
    One thought I had was to get away from the Media Library, and use a File Manager, and combine it with a Thumbnail Generator Plugin so I wouldn’t at least lose that functionality.

    Any other ideas?
