Need plugin to display pre-entered scheduled information

    I recently did a website for a restaurant using the Twenty Eleven theme. They use a widget to display the nightly specials. It is very difficult for them to hit the site every day.

    Is there a plugin or a process whereas they can enter a weeks worth of specials, then, the special would change automatically in the widget accordingly for the current day?

  • One approach would be to use the PHP Code Widget plugin and code a custom widget to retrieve the latest post in either a category or custom post type.

    The owners could then enter the daily specials and set them to the proper ‘Published on’ date so they would appear on that date.
