Which slider are you using? Try using the carousel slider.

When you add a photo to a page in the bottom right corner there should be an align options right before you click insert photo. Try using align left that should make the text wrap.

Hi there. I am using the flex slider as I do want the pictures to go across much of the screen. The carousel slider only has small pictures, right? If so, I don’t want to use that.

As I said, I would like to have the pictures cover up much of the screen but right now, the pictures are so magnified, that much of the picture is cut out.

I don’t mind giving up some width as long as it makes the pictures smaller and more manageable. I did narrow the width some, but it did not seem to change the magnification much if at all.

I can post a link but right now, I have a “coming soon” page visible to the public on my site. So would you be able to see my site or do I have to take down the “coming soon” page?

Thanks for the align advice. I did that at first, but it didn’t work. Then, I did it differently and it did.

Another question if you don’t mind…the text on my individual pages does not go the width of the page but only about 2/3 of it before it continues on the next line. Is there a way for it to be wider because right now, it looks odd.

No the carousel slider can be as large as you like they just won’t be cropped. I encourage you just to try. You can change back right away.

Else can you tell me what size images your are uploading. One important part if your going to use the flex slider is that you make sure your images are at least as large as your settings. Meaning if you set the width to 1100px that every image is at least 1100px wide.

You would have to take down the coming soon or provide a temp login to see behind it.

Yes. Sounds like your using the defualt page template. just switch to the fullwidth page template and you should be set.

Thanks for this. The Carousel slider is too small. I actually like some of the images to be cropped but was wondering if they could be a little smaller than what they are.

Also, they are not at all centered, which is a problem for some. How does one do that?

I have taken off the “coming soon” page. You can see the pictures on the home slider and can see that some of them do not contain the part of the picture that I need (e.g. my head is not even visible in the main one).

How can I tell the theme to focus on one part of the picture and not the other?

Also, is there a way to make some of the pics less big? The photo of myself looks huge. I have made the picture as well as the slider smaller and neither helped.

I did figure out the page width after looking on the individual pages to the right hand side…and there it is.

I ended up cropping some of the pictures before uploading them which helped resolve the centering. I am not sure about making the pictures smaller. It seems like they are magnified to a certain degree and that is the way it is?

In your theme options > slider settings. You can set the max width and max height. Make sure the width is set smaller then the width of your pictures and the height is set smaller then the height of your pictures. Else this will not work. If the width and height are the same size as the images or smaller then it will work and not have to zoom the images in to fill a larger space.
