Some of my products require the customer to pay after the order has been processed. These are labelled POA (price on application) next to the ‘add to cart’ buttons. I have made the shortcode price=”000.001″ which seems to work fine going through checkout with no price attached to it but shows as an error when it reaches PayPal Sandbox.

What can I do to make the orders processed with no price?

    The following ERROR appears:

That looks like an issue with PayPal’s server. Try it at a different time or try using their live server. The sandbox can have difficulty from time to time as it is a development environment.

I have tried a few times during the day which didn’t work. How can I try using the live server? Are we sure it is even possible to have no cost on a product?

    Thank you in advance!!!

I have the same problem whit sandbox/paypal. Are you using woocommerce? I googled this error and I found a lot of people with the same issue…

Really? But no solution? No I’m not, just using WordPress Simple Paypal Shopping Cart. i just looked up woocommerce… it seems to do the same thing or does it work with it?

Please let me know if you figure out this issue!
    Thanks

Hi el_bell, the following URL might help you with your question.

I think it I am halfway to understanding. In my case, I am willing to ‘create a link/button that is a straight link to the special page’ but obviously not for members in this case.

So what sort of page could it link to, in order to confirm the order? Because it would need to notify me too. I am thinking it would be a link to send an email with a generic request already written, or a form. I don’t know how to do that but what do you think?

I have made links instead that lead to a form that sends an email to place the order.

Thank you so much for clarifying
