Need info from 3 levels down

  • Hi, I want a list of areas displayed. Depending on which area is selected, I then need a list of Villages in that area and after selecting a village, I want to display a list of properties in that village, then display the selected property.
    My problem is if the user selects a particular ‘type’ of property or sets a maximum price for searching then the top levels should only display if they match that criteria. I have added custom fields for these values, but I want the initial queries to only show data that matches the bottom level post ‘price’ etc

    I hope this is clear enough?

    I decided possibly the best way may be to work from the bottom up, so I now have a query that gives me all properties that match the criteria.

    I now need (I think), another two queries.

    The properties are linked via a custom field called village link, then the areas are linked via a custom field called area_link.

    I can’t display an area in the first list if there are no properties in that area and the same with the village list.

    Incidentally these are all just posts, not pages.
