Need ideas for WordPress-powered Sports Pick’em Site

Hello,

I’ve been running an online NFL football pick’em league with my friends for years and I’ve decided to attempt a WordPress project to help automate the site a bit. I’m desperately looking for suggestions or examples.

Here are some of the features I’m trying to incorporate:

• The ability to input the NFL schedule from year to year.
• The ability for a user to register and use a form to guess the winner of each game on a weekly basis, with a deadline
• The ability for me to input the winners of each week’s games
• Automated calculation of the number of correct picks for each user each week, and automatic generation of a leaderboard for the season.
• User “baseball card” profiles which display their “career” pick’em stats.
• Wished but not necessary: The ability to cross-reference user pick’em results to generate stats such as “User is 59% successful at picking games involving the Washington Redskins correctly.”

So that’s my dream. I’d strongly appreciate any input I can get, including plug-in suggestions or links to similar sites. I’ve done a plug-in search and the only thing close is the LeagueManager plugin, which might give me coding ideas but won’t really give me a functional head start. I’ve also tried Googling for a WordPress-powered sports pick’em site with no success.
