• I found a theme that works perfectly for the look that I want for my blog with just a few minor adjustments that I proceeded to make, unfortunately before I went to add widgets. Dumb, I know. ?? I still would LOVE to use this theme for my blog and I tried following the instructions for widgetizing it but to no avail. Here is a link to my blog as it appears now…https://blog.eclecticwhimsydesigns.com

    The following is the code currently showing in ‘sidebar’:

    [Moderated: Too much code. Please consider placing the code in a text file on your site with a link here -or- use a pastebin service such as https://wordpress.pastebin.ca. Thanks!]

    I’m hoping someone who’s able to read this stuff as if it were in english might be able to just sneak in the code that will make it possible for me to add widgets to include things like additional links lists and linked images, etc. I would be ever so grateful. I’m just beginning to learn all the coding but this particular trick is well beyond my current knowledge.

    Thanks SO much in advance for any help.

    PS: I would write to the theme designer directly to ask but their site is entirely in spanish and 3 years of high school spanish seems to be failing me at the moment. *blush*

    Bumping. Anyone have any idea if it’s even possible to make this theme widget ready? Would still love to make it work for my blog. Thanks so much in advance for any help you can provide.

    I agree, I have been trying to figure out how to make this widget ready and I still can’t get it to display properly.

    Somebody has to post the actual code for us to look at before we can tell you how to do it. And it must be in TEXT format, an RTF file is useless.

    Seriously, go here: https://wordpress.pastebin.ca/

    Post the sidebar file there. The functions.php file too if it has one. Then come back here and post the links to those. Somebody will look at them. Really.

    I would also love to have this theme widget ready! I have done as you asked, and here is the sidebar code: https://wordpress.pastebin.ca/886801

    Thank you!

    Hey Otto42, I hate to beg, but you mentioned that if I posted the code, someone would look at it and help us out by making this theme widget ready. I would really appreciate your (or anyone’s) help on this–but I don’t take your time for granted, and won’t post again if this isn’t something you can do. See previous post for link to the code. I used Pastebin like you said. Thanks!

    Try this mod that i just created. This should work.

    I feel dirty 10 widget ready

    TJP, thanks so much for taking a look at this. The widgets seem to work with that theme, but the background has changed from white to dark grey. Could you help me figure out how to tweak that background, and I think I will be all set!

    Well i havent touch the stylesheet. That error must have been there all the time.

    In your style.css find .main, and insert:

    background-color: #fff;
    float:left;

    you’re right…a little tweaking of the css did the trick. thanks again!

    I downloaded and installed TJP’s modded I Feel Dirty 10 Widget Ready file. I can add widgets under the Design tab but the widgets do not appear when I view my site. Any ideas what’s wrong?

    Thanks,
    -Sonny
