Need help with my Categories showing on site

  • I used to have a blog through wordpress.com and when I added the cagtegories, I noticed they would not show up on my website n the tab bar until I posted. Now, everytime I add a category and post , nothing is showing up. What am I doing wrong?? Please don’t tell me it’s the termplate ,because I REALLY like this template and want to use it. Can someone tell me what I need to do to get the categories to show up on the site?

  • please post the name of your theme and a link to your site to illustrate the problem.

    yeah posting theme would help and btw if you mean they r not showing up on ur menu bar then u have to manually set em up under appearance>menus as per your theme specifications

    The theme I am using is scrappy theme by Carolina Moore

    If you notice I was able to put home and about me. But they are just pages. I Have no categories showing up. What am I missing? I had a blog on WordPress.com before this and I knew to post in category before it would actually show in a tab. Now it’s not working at all ??

    you need to activate the menu under

    dashboard – appearance- menus

    then you should be able to add categories as well as pages

    Thank you! I am on my way home now and going to pray this works!
    It does allow me to add te categories. They just don’t show up on the home page.
    I appreciate your help and you need to be on later just in case this doesn’t work lol.
    And I keep changing this damn gravatar and it’s still showing a monster lol
