Hi developer.I have a question about database capacity when I set log limits.

Currently my server has about 120,000 views when using your plugin to count each day.I am currently setting the log limit to 1 day.I want to increase it to about 30 days or 60 days.

I wonder when setting it like this So will log limit write too much data to the database and make my website slow?

Does log limit automatically delete expired data in the database?

Thank you very much for viewing my article.Good day.

    Hi @myoflight,

That entirely depends on your server specs (CPU, RAM, etc). If you’re hosting your site on a decent server then it should be fine.

Does log limit automatically delete expired data in the database?

Yes. When Log Limit is enabled the log is automatically truncated at midnight every day.

Hi.Thanks for the response, currently I am using a server with configuration of 4 Core 8GB Ram 240GB SSD, I am having about 15% CPU usage and 25% Ram usage.

My website weighs about 30GB with a database of 400mb.

I want to know if I turn on the log limit to 30 days, will it be stable? And at maximum, how much will my database weigh?

    Thank you.Good day.

It should be, and if you encounter any issues you can always lower the time limit (eg. 15 days) or you could also consider upgrading your server hardware so it can handle higher loads.

And at maximum, how much will my database weigh?

No idea to be honest. Maybe around 200 MBs more? Keep an eye on your database for the next few days to know for sure.
