Need help with homepage slider

Hi,

I need your help with the Oxygen WordPress theme.

I want to use your Oxygen theme with WordPress.com (https://allindiafurniture.wordpress.com). However, I wanted to know how can I activate the 6 blog post as a slider (showcase) on the homepage like shown in the demo

I have read your instructions about “Showcase page template” on the demo page above, but I am unable to understand it.

I did chose “Showcase Page” template while adding a new page as instructed in the demo theme, but it doesn’t seem to work. Also, I don’t want to display my pages on this slider but my blog posts. So how can I add my blog post to this slider showcasing on the homepage?

I am not an expert in wordpress.com customization. Therefore, I would appreciate if you could explain me in a step by step pattern.
