    I’m new to this.

    So my admin panel gives that famous critical error. “There has been a critical error on this website.”

    edit: I removed wp total cache plugin through backend (because it caused error 503) and now this is what happened.

    So I turned on debug mode through wp-config and this is the info I got. I’m not a code pro but know how to follow steps.

    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function wp_kses() in /home/sellistiwl/www/wp-content/db.php:28 Stack trace: #0 /home/sellistiwl/www/wp-includes/load.php(671): require_once() #1 /home/sellistiwl/www/wp-settings.php(124): require_wp_db() #2 /home/sellistiwl/www/wp-config.php(99): require_once(‘/home/sellistiw…’) #3 /home/sellistiwl/www/wp-load.php(50): require_once(‘/home/sellistiw…’) #4 /home/sellistiwl/www/wp-admin/admin.php(34): require_once(‘/home/sellistiw…’) #5 /home/sellistiwl/www/wp-admin/index.php(10): require_once(‘/home/sellistiw…’) #6 {main} thrown in /home/sellistiwl/www/wp-content/db.php on line 28

    Thanks for the response.

    Sadly I have no way to revert because until today I didn’t know the whole admin page could just crash. I have only been taking wordpress backups, not any kind of backups from the backend. Am I able to use a .wpress backup file somehow? Exported by a plugin.

    This is what the code looks like in case you could be of additional help. I’m gonna be honest don’t understand anything about this code:

    Start with the advice above, “you may need to reinstall the WordPress core files. This can be done by downloading the latest version of WordPress from www.remarpro.com and replacing the existing core files on your server.”
