Need help with CPT UI Plugin
-
Hello, I am new to this Plugin and would appreciate some help ??
As context, I am using Custom Post Types UI with ACF & Elementor.
1) I want to create custom post types for my static pages (like home, about, etc), so that the client can just go into that respective custom post type, see the ACF fields I created individually for each static page, and that way the client can edit minor thing, like text and images without going into Elementor). However, for these static pages, I want to disable or hide the ‘add new’ option. How can I achieve this? (however, this will only apply to the static pages, so I need to be able to disable this add new option only for some custom post types, not for all)
2) Is there a way to add the custom post types to the WP Customizer? I guess the default is to see the custom post types in the WP Dashboard, but I want my client to be able to edit the sites ‘live’ on the page, using the WP Customizer. So to achieve that, I would need to be able to add the custom post type, with the respective ACF fields, to the WP customizer
3) Lastly, for my dynamic pages, is there a way to automatically make them a child page of one of the static pages? Example: I have one static page called ‘projects’, this will have all projects from that client listed. That one for individual projects I will create a custom post type ‘project pages’, design a template with the theme builder from Elementor and use ACF, so that the client can just click ‘add new’ in the project pages custom post type, fill in the information in the ACF fields, and then the info will be displayed in the design I created with Elemeneotr. But these pages should automatically be the child page of ‘projects’ and also that should be visible with the URL / permalink. Is that possible?
Many thanks!!
