Need help with complex metabox issue

I have a unique issue here and will try to explain my issue as best as can!

I am having performance issue with my post meta tables and I have followed all pods recommendations by disablbing “watch” features and so in settings. While pods data is loading at acceptable rate other greedy plugins are clogging the postmeta table and due to volume it is crashing feautres on the site. So I plan to split these meta values up myself.

For my site I CAN NOT use Advanced Content Types to store my posts in other tables BUT my plan is to store the meta fields in a separate table then load them data into pods meta box on the admin view.

The problem then is I find “pods_act_editor_before_metabox, pods_act_editor_after_metabox” hooks and “pods_meta_box_override” filter but that only works with Advanced Content Types.

Is there a way to bypass the default metabox and use the pods api to make my view?
