Need help with a gallery

I have searched here for days and not found what I was looking for, so I’ll ask here.

I need a gallery that is easy to upload pictures on.
I want one thumbnail that represents several pictures. So when you press at that thumbnail it should open in shdowbox or something similar displaying a large pic of the chosen thumbnail and show the other thumbnails in that category on the side, in a carousel or similar way.
This is because it will be so many pictures so it would be to many to display them all on the front page.
A big plus would be if it could show videos as well.

I have tried NextGEN Gallery, but when I display only one thumbnail it also displays arrows and sidenumbers (as many as there is pics in it) and I don’t want that. So if that could be taken away it would be great.
The next issue I have with NestGen Gallery is that when you press on the thumbnail you are taken to a new side with all the pics.
I want it to open in shadowbox instead.

So does anyone now how I could make NextGEN Gallery to work or has another gallery that can do what I want?
