Hello. Trying to create a system on my site to do the following and wanted help to see if supportcandy can do this.

    • Create a ticket in the backend just as a status tracker for a user. This ticket will hopefully give me a ticket number or some reference #
    • Have a page on WP where a user can search for the above ticket/reference number and see a status (open, pending, closed, etc)
    • No registration needed and no communication with the user required
    • Just need a way for a user to see the status

Is something as simple as this possible with supportcandy? I played around with i a bit and was able to create a ticket, but could not figure out how the user can view the ticket? The landing page required a login, i changed so guests can view as well and it asked for a email address. I entered the email address i added to the test ticket and the system said a 6 digit code will be sent to the email. Never received that code.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello @lordbodom

    Thanks for contacting us.

Please note, you need to log in to view ticket. You can log in as registered user or guest user but you can not view ticket without login.

For OTP issues, please check the email notifications settings:

    1. You have entered From Name & From Email in Support > Email Notifications > General Settings
    2. You have installed any SMTP plugin to send emails from the website. Please note, if you have not installed the SMTP plugin to send emails, the wp_mail() function does not guarantee you to deliver emails. There are many popular free SMTP plugins available on www.remarpro.com.
    3. Try sending test emails in the SMTP plugin to confirm emails are sending correctly.
    4. Please check the email notification for Guest login from Dashboard > Support > Email Notifications > Guest Login OTP

Also, if you want to show individual ticket to the users without login then please share the URL of the ticket with users and disable the URL authentication from Dashboard > Support > Settings > Miscellenious > Advanced > Ticket URL Authentication > Disable.

I hope this will help you, please feel free to get back to us if you face any issues. You can raise a support ticket on our support portal:

    Thank you.

Thank you for the reply. I had a question with :

Also, if you want to show individual ticket to the users without login then please share the URL of the ticket with users and disable the URL authentication from Dashboard > Support > Settings > Miscellenious > Advanced > Ticket URL Authentication > Disable.

Does this allow the user to just go to the URL of said ticket and be able to view it without having to login? I checked the setting you mentioned and Ticket URL authentication is disabled, but still asking for a login.

    Hello,

If you disable the Ticket URL authentication then users can view the ticket but they can not reply to that ticket. If users are unable to view the ticket then please create a ticket on our support portal for further debugging.

Also, how would I update the login page So it only displays the option for one time login OTP without the other option to login?

    Hello @lordbodom,

    Sorry for the delayed response.

You hide other option with the following settings:

    • Go to the Dashboard > Support > Settings > General Settings > General > Allow create new ticket > Remove “Guest”.
    • Go to the Dashboard > Support > Settings > General Settings > Page Settings > User Registration > Disable.
    • Go to the Dashboard > Support > Settings > General Settings > Page Settings > OTP login > Enable.

I hope this will help you, please feel free to get back to us if you face any issues.

    Thank you.
