• Hi Guys,

I am quite new in this and I was working on my first blog when I tried to activate my comment because it was not showing… so I added a line to the of the php file (cant remember which) .. and now when I try to open my BLOG whereisriodejaneiro.com it is giving me the error below:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home/content/t/h/r/thriodejaneiro/html/wp-content/themes/my-sweet-diary/functions.php on line 38

Please does anyone know how to fix this ? Have I losen everything I have done so far ?
    thanks

  • You have created bad code in your theme’s functions.php file, on, um, line 38. Or perhaps a line before line 38. Either fix the mistake, or upload a fresh copy of functions.php from your theme’s zip folder. If you don’t have the theme’s zip folder, download the theme and extract the functions.php file.

post your functions.php on pastebin, so we can have a look at it.

Thanks…I uploaded a new functiion.php and it worked.. . Now another question I can’t seem to activate my comment field. I want to put it at the bottom of all of my post and pages.. So people can enter and put in a comment if they like or not… In some its posts its showing in others its not… Do you know why ? And how can I fix it ?
