Need help to sort array (bookmarks)

I have one big problem:

I need to list my links (bookmarks) in three columns, with the category names intact. That is, I want to show the category name, then the links (bookmarks) belonging to that category below the category name and I need them to be sorted in three columns. I cannot use the offset function so how would I go on to achieve my goal?

It′s easy enough to list the links (bookmarks) in one column — but I need three!

Help would be appreciated.
