Need help removing the black bar on my blog page

I am really new to wordpress and would appreciate any help. My website is https://www.umdibc.com

As you can tell I have a background picture but there is a black bar or box that is cutting the picture in half. Could anyone tell me how I could potentially remove that for the that page and rest of my page?
