    Hi,

I’m new to www.remarpro.com and trying to build backlinks for my website. I understand “no follow” links are the ones I need to create. Whenever, I’m submitting a comment or post, what type of links is created. How do I check if it of “no follow” type.

For example, if I’m giving my link address here as :

    https://www.internetmarketingforlayman.com

how do I know if it has “no follow” rel.

  • you need to look at the site’s source – rel=”nofollow”

There are a few browser plugins which can visually mark nofollow links so you don’t have to go through the source.

    Hi uma05,

In addition to what Gerald said, I believe WP is Nofollow by default in the comments – someone please correct me if I’m wrong.

If that’s true, you will find very few WP blogs and websites that actually have rel="nofollow" removed.

But that shouldn’t be a put off for your link building strategy, just as “hunting” for do-follow links in the comments shouldn’t be your main tactic for building up authority based on links.

If your comments are good / interesting / intriguing / plausible / etc. enogh to get people to visit your website, that should be enough from this perspective. My 2 cents.

Here are some related explanations from Google’s Matt Cuts on the issue:

    Hi Gerald and gholem,

Thank you very much for your detailed answer.

It is really good to hear that WP has default Nofollow link in the comments.

    Have a great day!
