need help installing wordpress software

  • I am brand new to blogging, like 30 mins into it. I have been trying to install the wordpress software. I made all the edits to the cofig file. The problem is that the next step is to install, very time i try to install my dreamweaver program intersepts the program and wants to edit it. How can I get dreamweaver to leave it alone and just let it install?

    yes, trying to install through explorer

    And you have set up a database and ftp’d your files to your domain ?

    um, no haven’t done that yet. I just signed up for the free space on wordpress. I guess my frustration is because I am fairly seasoned at installing software and such. This setup must have a whole new approach. Your help is greatly appreciated.

    If you have signed up for the freeservice, you need to go and visit https://wordpress.com. That is another site altogether. This WP forum is for users of the WordPress package on their own domains.
