need help. images and links missing

I will try and keep this brief. I moved my sites index.php file and htaccess files to my root so that I could remove the wordpress subdirectory from my site url. I then changed the setting in wordpress to reflect that change.

So my site structure in general settings is:

WordPress Address (URL) https://www.mydomain.com/wordpress
Site Address (URL) https://www.mydomain.com

Everything was somewhat fixed until i used velvet blues to fix things. Mostly images missing and links
Now some of the images are showing up while others are not and I cant figure out why. I keep trying different options with velvet blues but now I cant get MOST of my images to show up.

I guess my problem is I cant figure out what to tell velvet blues to do anymore. As an example. my one image THAT DOES NOT load, when clicked on says it’s at https://www.mydomain.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/image.jpg
BUT they are not loading on the page.

Any guess as to where my problem is? I cant figure out whether or not I should use http or www etc in any of these settings (velvet Blues or the general settings), so I think thats part of the problem. Maybe I somehow have those variables crossed?
