We have a site that was perfectly working with emails sent through Cpanel MX to google mail address, but for some reasons the configurations is not working or have been changed by mistakes. We’ve tried to redo all the configuration but still not working,

The Cpanel MX looks like that: https://ibb.co/kKt4kJ2

Email Forwarders looks like this: https://ibb.co/GnMfQDV

We use the [email protected] as the admin email set in the global settings of the site.

Anyone may help us to know how to correctly configure WP SMTP mailer to get it work properly?

  • Hi @emadof85,

If you are using the emails from cPanel, then it seems you may be using the Other SMTP mailer option with WP Mail SMTP.

You can follow the setup guide here on how to configure the Other SMTP mailer: https://wpmailsmtp.com/docs/how-to-set-up-the-other-smtp-mailer-in-wp-mail-smtp/.

Setting this up would require the following which you can get from your email hosting provider: SMTP Host, Encryption method (SSL or TLS), SMTP Port, Authentication (On or Off), Username, Password.

If you still run into any issues with connecting after this, then I’d recommend you switch to one of our transactional mailers. (such as SendLayer, Brevo, or SMTP.com) as the Other SMTP mailer does not use a dedicated API, which can sometimes lead to potential errors based on your website hosting settings.

If you’d like to check out more details on the mailers mentioned above or any others you may be interested in, you can see our complete guide here:

    https://wpmailsmtp.com/docs/a-complete-guide-to-wp-mail-smtp-mailers/.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks. ??
