I am using Blissful Child theme (https://thebusybibliophile.com) and for the life of me can’t figure out how to change the size of the menu font (the menu says “Home, About…). I have tried every possibility in the CSS and can’t do it. I tried to view the page’s source, but still couldn’t figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.

If you aren’t already, you really should be using a browser developer tool like the one built-in to Google Chrome.

I simply right clicked on your menu item, selected ‘Inspect element’ and all was revealed before me [screenshot]. Look on the right. Look what I’ve highlighted.

Does that give you enough direction?

Dammit, I was over thinking it and forgot to try that way. Thank you for helping me out.

I wasn’t aware of any built-in tools, so I will check that out. Thanks again.

I tried to view the page’s source

What you will find in the source code, in the section <head> is a call to the stylesheet, with WP this is your theme’s stylesheet, usually style.css.

That file defines things such as your menu’s font size…

To discover specific CSS per HTML element, use a tool such as Firebug, Chrome Inspect Element or IE9+ F12 Developer Tools…

Once discovered, you can add/modify these in the stylesheet in use.

Note: Direct edits to the stylesheet (or any parent theme’s stylesheet) will be lost on theme update, which is why using a Child Theme is recommended.
