• I have created a 1000 px wide background image to put behind the site title on the blog I am creating for my dad. The blog address is:

    https://www.seeingknowingbeing.com

You can see the background image is kind of there right now, but it is displaying much smaller than actual size and it isn’t lined up properly. I am kind of new to the CSS thing, so can you give me any tips on how to make that image fill the entire white space behind the site title and tagline underneath?

  • The only way it looks to do this, if you are going to use Twenty Eleven, is to move the image to the ID #branding. This does/will cover a lot more space than you intended for it to, but I think it’s the only way…

Do not edit the Twenty Eleven theme. It is the default WordPress 3.2 theme and having access to an unedited version of the theme is vital when dealing with a range of site issues. Create a child theme for your changes. Once your child theme is active, we should be able to help with the customisation.
