need help adding a left sidebar

  • Hello,
    I have been using wordpress 1.5.2 with the default theme.
    I have made a few modifications to the main and sidebar files.
    Now I want to add a left sidebar that will list my tag cosmos for my weblog.

    Is there a reccommended way to create a left sidebar?
