Need help accessing and signing into blog on my domain

  • Help please! I had the worst programmer in the world do my website, and he set up our blog as well as self hosted and skinned it…The blog is working fine, I just don’t know how to access it since we aren’t really on speaking terms. (He did less than half of what was in our agreement!) I don’t know how to access CP or exactly what user name and password is.
    Is there a way to find out how to access and what my user name and password is?

  • You just log in on the front page…… However, without a username, password and admin privileges.. you’re screwed. Be nice to whoever set you up and get them to register you as an administrator.

    Thanks for your reply. Log in on the front page of what? I have some guesses as to username and password. I have complete access to my control panel of course, doesn’t that help?

    The control panel of my host appears to have all the WP blog files there, and I have found where I access the username and password to get in the admin. It’s https://www.domain.com/blog/wp-admin. However this log in form is still hosted on their server. Is there a way I can get this sign-in over to our server?

    Is it possible to have the sign in on their server and the actual blog already hosted on ours?

    Does anyone know if it is possible to have the blog hosted on my server, as it appears, but the dashboard hosted on another server?
