    Hi

    i am new to wordpress and need some help in frontend posting

    i want the functionality of some post data can be hide by post author using check box, if the check box is checked then some specific field should be hidden from public and can only be seen by post author and admins, like i have an check box which says check this box if you want your email hidden, can this be don by this plugin if yes then how ?

    this plugin is designed to allow a front-end form to post data to the dashboard. It is flexible enough to customise the functionality that you are seeking.

    However, there is no simple way to achieve this, it is simple for developer to achieve, but not for a beginner.

    You have 2 possible way to solve your problem,

    • let your post author create their posts and select the hidden data using the dashboard itself, this would be easier to achieve, or
    • if you do not want post authors to access the dashboard, create a front-end form to post all the data along with the checkbox to flag hidden data, and use this plugin to save the submission as a new post in the backend

    In both cases you need to learn quite a lot about WordPress posts and custom meta-fields to achieve this. So if you are a beginner, you need to learn about the WordPress framework before you can tackle this kind of problem. There are many tutorial online that will allow you to learn these skills, but it is beyond the scope of the support offered on this forum.

    Alternatively you can hire a developer to this for you.
