hi! sorry for being late with my response!

1)i don’t understand what does the mailer do and how it works.

    2)what’s the entry list

    thank you!

    It’s no problem at all.

The mailer is the settings for the email that the form creates. This servers as the notification when someone fills in the form.

The entry list is the list of all the submissions. At the caldera forms admin page, on the left column you see a list of the forms you’ve created. When you hover over the form name, you’ll see a few options. One of the options is “view entries”. Checking the”Show in entry list” option on a field, adds that field sa column in this list.

Without checking any fields, the first two fields are shown by default.

Please let me know if I need to clarify anything.

and where do i set the form destination…. when someone presses submit in which email all these data goes?

In the Mailer tab, the field “Recipients”. This is for the email address to send the forms result to.

ok so far so good!!! what about the tab variables?

    Plugin Contributor David Cramer

    (@desertsnowman)

The variables tab is an advanced option. It’s use is for creating references to values.

An example: If you wanted the form to pass back a value in the address bar (?variable=value&etc…) you would then create a new variable, give it a name and a value and set it as a Passback.

after the form is submitted your variable will be passed to the result page.

IT also allows you to merge values together. For example, if you have two fields for first name and last name, you can make a variable called fullname and the value can be “%firstname% %lastname%” this means you can then use %fullname% in the mailer message and it will show both field values together.

    Hi,
Is there a way to make it to where a person can click the submit button to be taken to a another site to continue with the ordering process of a product? Thanks!

    (@desertsnowman)

yes. just use the redirect processor. when editing the form, click the processors tab and select Redirect.

    Thank you David!

    You’re welcome.

Hi. Please explain the email notifications setings for me.

“From name” : It says “name from which the email comes”. Is this the name of the person sending the form? If so, Can I select %name% ?

“From email” : If this is the email of the person sending the form, can i select {user:user_email}? Or can i select %email% ? Why does it say “Try not to use a field from the form. Rather use your own email”? I dont understand.

In “Reply To Email”, Ive selected %email%.
And in “recipients”, i have my own email.

    Thanks

Hi David I’m kind of new to Caldera Forms, is it possible to have one main recipient and an alternate depending on what a user selects.

In a feedback form, and I always want to receive the email, but depending on what a user selects on a dropdown menu I would like a copy of the form to go to one of 5 other people.

You can use multiple autoresponder processors based on conditionals.

I’m not exactly sure what you mean, can you give an example?
