Need guidance on using and displaying custom fields in Posts

  • Hello,
    I am trying to make a simple recipe section on my wp powered site. I created a category called ‘recipes’ and then added sub categories e.g. meat, vegetarian etc. When someone opens the ‘recipes’ category I would like to display all subcategories with number of recipes.
    I would then need to create a front end form using custom fields that are specified for all new posts in the category and then display their content in post body.

    I an no guru and have no grasp over templates so please be very straight forward. thanks in advance

    Hello, It seems my query is not an easy one to tackle and would requires some experience. I think it might be a good idea to explain that the flow suggested above is only suggested. At the end of the day I would like to be able to display custom fields values in posts and be able to add them using front end. I am using this nifty theme Next Saturday v. 1.0.1.

    Any help will be really appreciated.
